GoGrowPrivacy Policy
GoGrow (“we”) provides an iPhone app that estimates a child’s likely adult height and helps families log move, food, and sleep habits. This policy explains what we collect and why.
Who the app is for
GoGrow is used by parents and by older children with a parent’s involvement. It is not directed at children under 13 without a parent. If you create a profile for a child, you are responsible for that information.
Information we collect
- Growth profile: name or nickname, date of birth, sex, height, weight, shoe size, parent heights, sport, sleep, exercise, puberty markers you choose to enter.
- Habits: exercise, meals, sleep logs, nutrition notes, and weekly trophies.
- Photos and camera: meal photos you choose to scan. ARKit height measure uses the camera only on your iPhone; those frames stay on the device and are not uploaded. We do not sell photos.
- Purchases: subscription status via Apple and RevenueCat. We do not see your full card number.
- Community posts: text you publish, likes, a display name, and Flag or Block reports you send so we can moderate the feed.
- Coach messages: questions you send to AI Coach, plus age, height percentile estimate, sports, habit score, and optional first name used to generate educational replies.
- Diagnostics: crash reports (Sentry), product analytics (PostHog) if you consent during onboarding, and app performance metrics (EAS Observe: launch timings, screen timings, device and OS, crash stacks). Observe does not collect names or health profile fields.
- Public board: bug and feature titles you submit on getgogrow.app/board, plus an email if you choose to leave one for a reply.
How we use it
To run the estimate, habit loop, meal estimates, Coach, Community, and membership. We do not sell personal data. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
Legal basis (UK GDPR)
We process data to provide the service you asked for (contract), with consent where we ask for analytics, and to keep the app secure (legitimate interests).
Third-party AI (OpenAI)
If you use AI Coach or meal estimates, we send data to OpenAI through GoGrow’s server so OpenAI can generate a reply or a food/macro estimate. We do not send data to OpenAI until you agree in the app. OpenAI is not used for advertising. ARKit height measure does not send data to OpenAI.
For Coach, that data is: your question, age, height percentile estimate, sports, habit score, and optional first name. We do not send Coach photos.
For meal estimates, that data is: the meal photo you scan, or the meal text you typed. We do not send the child’s name, date of birth, or growth profile with the scan.
You can decline and still use the rest of GoGrow, including logging meals by entering macros yourself.
Sharing
Processors that help us run GoGrow include Apple, RevenueCat, Supabase, OpenAI (Coach and meal estimates, only after in-app consent), PostHog, Sentry, Expo (EAS Observe), and Cloudflare (website, public board, Community reports, and the server that forwards Coach and meal requests to OpenAI). They only get what they need to provide that function. We require processors to protect that data at least as carefully as we do.
Retention
Profile and logs stay on your device and, where signed in, on our servers until you delete them or close your account. You can start over in the app Profile.
Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete data, and withdraw analytics consent. Email tausifmeah@gmail.com.
Children
We treat height, age, and habit logs as sensitive. Do not post a child’s personal health details in Community.
